An Island is Born

Welcome to Isola della Tranquillita.

Well. My mother and I have been discussing this for a month. Yes, my mother is also in Second Life, and has been for almost as long as I have been. She is now 74 — I believe in a previous post, I said 72. What can I say? The time does get on, doesn’t it? We have both owned islands in the past, but it has been a long time.

What shall we do with it? Ah, that is the question. The one thing I can promise you is that it will change. Don’t become attached :-). The plan is to have a third of the sim stay the same, devoted to a music venue. Then the rest of the island will morph into different things.

So already I can say — the sim surround will probably not always be there. We may have art installations. We may simply have beautiful public spaces that change in atmosphere and feel. I love to create things and spaces, and this is a great canvas.
